Last night we started off our corporate holiday season of events with Coventry Workers’ Comp Services Client Appreciation Holiday Party. They wanted to add something unique to their event this year instead of just a raffle and some giveaways. We jumped into action and brought them a variety of psychic entertainment. Larry performed seated Tarot Card Readings, while I (Raven) performed Strolling/Mingling Palm Readings for the guests. It turned out to be the perfect balance of psychic entertainment, something more private and intimate in the corner of the room for a one on one attraction while groups of guests were entertained in other areas of the room. And we received lovely feedback from our client the very next morning.

Last minute change in amount of guests almost doubled our crowd. With one call we booked Larry and Raven. Huge success! Larry read cards and told fortunes while Raven walked the crowd doing palm readings. I appreciate the great job they did.

The Doodle-ology Readings were a hit. It was the perfect mix of giving the guests a fun way to creatively express themselves and receive a personalized reading. What an amazing night, we had groups guests all over the club creating their works of art and when the reading was over, they would show their artwork to their friends and co-workers and share their mini reading. They were so enthusiastic and excited about creating their doodles that we almost couldn’t get to them quick enough. What a fabulous night, I only wish that we were able to keep all their lovely doodles, but it’s more meaningful if they keep them to remember what wonderfully talented people they are!

We had a great time performing for the students at the College of New Jersey last night. It was our first time there and while they had set the student center set with a big stage for a large audience, a small crowd had formed just before showtime. Being Halloween weekend, there were lots of things going on. The great thing about our show is that it really doesn’t matter whether we have 5 people or 500 people in the audience, the show will always go on. Smaller, more intimate shows are a lot of fun due to them being less formal. Plus, we get to know our audience, or our tribe as we called them last night, much better. However, that small crowd grew as our show went on and by the time we got to our blindfold act, we had quadrupled the size of our audience.

The fun didn’t stop after the show though; Raven gathered a group of students for a group palm reading session. Even though they were a smaller group, they were mighty and we had a blast with them! We’re looking forward to seeing the students at the College of New Jersey again real soon.

This weekend we had the pleasure of performing our show as part of the Family Weekend at Clark University in Worcester, MA. It was a big crowd full of excited students and their families. They were a fun and enthusiastic group. We stayed to chat with some of them after the show and one student left a very special message for us on the stage before he left. His thoughts sum up the experience of the group. David we believe in you too!

We really love performing at events like this and our show is perfect for it. The clients of RainMaker are spread out across the country and the event planner at RainMaker really wanted to bring something different to their client conference on a dinner cruise out of Philadelphia. She wanted something that would get their group involved with each other and would leave a great impression afterward. Even though they were having a DJ, she knew that not everyone would dance, so she leveraged our talents to add a unique angle to her event. We worked closely with the event planner to craft just the right experience for her group.

The weather was beautiful, the cruise was wonderful and most importantly, the guests at the RainMaker event were a joy. They were an enthusiastic group that were very willing and eager to participate. Post show we had the chance to chat with some of the guests and they were impressed and definitely puzzled by what they saw. We always enjoy talking to the guests after the show and we are totally tickled when the skeptics come up to us with comments like, “Amazing!” and “How did you do that?”  After our show, we got invited to join the guests briefly on the dance floor as the cruise prepared to dock.

This is what the event planner had to say about her experience with us:

“RainMaker Software is a provider of financial and practice management software for mid-to-large sized law firms. Each year we host a Client Conference somewhere in the U.S. and this year we landed in our company’s hometown of Philadelphia. During our three-day conference, we host two evening events for our clients.

This year we chose to go on a cruise down the Delaware River for one of our evening events.  We took our group of 80 (or so) folks on a three hour cruise down the river aboard the Spirit of Philadelphia riverboat. Aside from the dinner, dancing and drinks, I wanted to add an additional element of entertainment.….and then I found Larry and Raven, the mentalist act. From my first contact with Larry and Raven, through to the post performance, they were a delight to work with. Not only were they entertaining, but they brought a unique element to our conference that we have never had before. Our clients were definitely entertained and they were the hot topic of discussion the next day at the conference. Everyone had their theories on how they were able to ‘read minds’ and know things that they couldn’t possibly know! Even the cruise staff was gathered around during their performance.

It was a great night of entertainment and I would recommend Larry & Raven to any event planner looking to entertain their guests in a way that they probably have not seen before. I’m sure it will still be a topic of conversation at next year’s conference as well.”

I had the distinct pleasure to read Palms and Tarot Cards at Vera Wang’s Lovestruck Fragrance Launch Event at The James Hotel in New York. It was a beautiful night at the rooftop lounge, the media was all a buzz and I designed my readings to be in line with the theme of the fragrance: love and passion.

There were several highlights of the night for me.  The first was when Vera Wang came over and sat with me for a reading. She is a wonderfully sweet and charming person and I enjoyed my time with her. And the fact that she wanted me to perform my readings at a personal event for her that weekend, let me know that she enjoyed her time with me as well.

A little later in the night, I had the pleasure of meeting and reading for Leighton Meester, the star of the fragrance campaign and the of the popular TV show, “Gossip Girl”. Not only did I get to read her palm, which was a wonderful experience, but was also part of the media’s big photo shoot of her getting a psychic reading for that night.

The next day the internet was all a buzz about the launch of Lovestruck, the fabulous party that took place in NYC and Vera Wang and Leighton Meester getting their psychic readings with me. I was even captured in the September 19th issue of Star Magazine reading Leigton Meester’s Palm.

It was a very busy night and a very positive experience as well. I look forward to seeing Vera Wang again.

So many students were eager to participate in the show. Especially the group of students that tried to challenge Raven as a “Human Lie Detector”

Larry and I just had the pleasure of performing our Psychic Entertainment for the staff at Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield’s Holiday Party. Oh my goodness was this a large event, probably the largest we performed at this holiday season. Larry and I make a great team so we worked together to keep the 500+ staff members entertained.

I was set up at a table with all my psychic trinkets giving Palm and Numerology Readings while Larry mingled with staff members performing incredible feats of Mind Reading, Mentalism and Psychokinesis.

Once word spread about our entertainment, our part of the event got very crowded. My line wouldn’t quit, people were grabbing food and drinks and getting in line to see Larry and I. Larry kept the festivities happening for the staff members that were standing in line waiting to get a reading.

Staff would sit in front of me and tell me how amazing Larry was and then their next question would be, “How do the two of you live together? There are no secrets in your relationship!”

The two of us peformed non-stop for 4 hours straight, just to make sure a large amount of the staff  were entertained. Boy were we whipped, but there was no time for rest. Horizon’s event started at 10:30am, then it was off to Aircastle Advisor’s Holiday Party in Connecticut that same evening.

We really enjoyed our time with the staff from Blue Cross Blue Shield, we look forward to seeing them again next year!
